last year's Thanksgiving centerpiece
November 20, 2012 Am I the only one panicking a bit that Thanksgiving is in two days?!? Luckily we are joining family and friends for a big pot luck feast, so I don't really have that much to do. Just hard to believe.
Last year we got together with the same group and I offered to make a centerpiece. After seeing this photo on High Street Market's blog, I decided we had to have a pumpkin centerpiece. I hollowed out a white pumpkin, stuck a mason jar with water inside, and filled it with seeded eucalyptus, artichokes & flowers. Truth be told, I thought the pumpkin smelled a little funny. I was worried about it, so I lined the inside of the pumpkin with saran wrap and foil. Not sure that did anything but no one seemed to notice!

Anyway, once the pumpkin was hollowed out, this was a pretty easy project. Hopefully this will give you an idea or two for your own centerpiece!
