Hello There

Hi, there. I'm Megan Davis, the gal behind Toast & Laurel. My paper goods & design studio is based in Houston, Texas, and I am so lucky to work with incredible clients both locally and across the country. This blog is a bit of a hodgepodge - recipes, family updates, sneak peaks of my projects, and other daily inspirations! Thanks for stopping by.

    giveaway at urban grace!

Erika over at Urban Grace Interiors is celebrating the old adage "better to give than to receive" all week on her blog. That's right, it's an Oprah's-Favorite-Things-style giveaway!  Erika asked if I would be interested in participating, and of course I said yes.  Today's giveaway is a set of 75 Holiday Photo Cards from the 2010 Toast & Laurel collection.  Head on over to Urban Grace's blog to post a comment & enter for a chance to win.

I happened upon Erika's blog about a year and half ago and was instantly hooked.  Not only is Erika an interior designer with an impeccable sense of style, but she is a wife, mother, twin sister, and outstanding writer with an engaging wit.  After seeing photos of all the gorgeous rooms she has designed, my husband and I reached out to Erika for help with our own master bedroom.  Luckily for us, the ladies of Urban Grace work with clients across the country and were happy to take on our long-distance project.

Our master bedroom is still not entirely done, but here's a sneak peek:

We've loved the process so much that we have enlisted Erika to for several other projects around our house. Can't wait to share all the updates!

Earlier this year, Erika's work was published in both Coastal Living and Southern Living.  And she's working on our house?!?  We feel very lucky.

Following up on her "Coastal & Southern" blog post, I sent Erika and her team at Urban Grace some celebratory notecards which went over even better than expected.  Since then, Erika and I have worked back and forth on house & paper projects including her daughter's first birthday invitation.

Take my advice & bookmark Erika's blog.  You'll love it.
