    Martha Stewart Weddings Winter 2013

So excited to share some great news with you . . . Toast & Laurel is featured in the Winter 2013 edition of Martha Stewart Weddings! The team at MSW asked me to design a custom floral monogram and small thank you note cards for the current stationery story. You can see the "ours" monogram I designed on page 407. Such an honor!

    Shop Update . . .

Happy New Year! After a very busy holiday season, I decided this would be the perfect time to slow down a bit, focus on some exciting custom projects, and organize my online shop. I am working on new return address stamp designs and will let you know as soon as they are available. Until then, all of the items in the shop say "sold out". Email me in the meantime if you just can't wait to place your order! Happy Friday.

    Our 2012 Christmas Card

Merry Christmas! I am a little late in sending this greeting but couldn't let the yuletide season slip away without showing you our Christmas card and saying thanks for your support during the past year. Greg and I spent our holiday visiting both of our families and got to enjoy a very white Christmas thanks to an unusual snow storm in Dallas!

Greg and I were lucky enough to visit France in October. We split our time between Paris and Provence and loved every single minute. Definitely hope to go back and spend more time in Paris one day! Since the only photos we seem to take of both of us on vacation are of the awkward, one-arm-stretched-out variety, I got in touch with Brian at French Grey Photography to set up an afternoon session in Paris. We, of course, chose the rainiest, gloomiest day to take photos, but Brian was still able to get some gorgeous shots, including the one we used on our card:

After a very busy holiday card season, I am taking a little time off from my online shop. You'll see that all of my products are currently listed as "sold out". I plan to open the shop again next week and will have a bit of a post-holiday sale on a few of the items.

    Cheers!

    A Wintry Feast

Southern Living partnered with Minted to create custom paper goods for three parties featured in the current December 2012 issue. Minted contacted me and a few other Southern designers to submit designs for consideration, and Southern Living chose my "Fireside Feast" invitation for the Wintry Feast dinner party.

You can see more images here on Southern Living's website. The gorgeous eight page party feature has some great recipes (soup, arugula, roasted veggies - right up my alley) and decor ideas. In fact, I think I'm going to try out the sweet potato soup recipe. The two other parties - a Cocktail Supper and Red Velvet Dessert Buffet - also feature invitations from two other Minted designers. Southerners sure know how to throw a good party!!

The invitation and coordinating party decor pieces are available here through Minted.

I think this weekend marks the official beginning of holiday event season, so hopefully you can get a few ideas for your own party.
